hai ran..hai hai hai hairan...
i am wondering... is it a kind of hypocracy or just a type of ignorant, i dunno. but i'm pretty sure it's a kind of ignorance *grin* i watch samarinda-villa cinta daddy (cannot miss it!). for me, the conflict between areef (fahrin ahmad *wink*) and daddy (mustapha kamal) is very similar with the conflict that we face in our daily life.
just as an example, when i was studying, there are my frens who just gave a little concern on studies and got serious in doing other job (me? i'm internet addict!). the effort was very good but learn to balance both studies and other importants-can-never-neglet works is better. we have to finish our studies once we entered the institution, unless we didn't go to any institution. there's no such duniawi knowledge and ukhrawi knowledge, knowlegde is alone. (isn't the comparison is the same with Islam hadhari-Islam badwi?). so, Islam is alone, so does knowledge.
back to the samarinda's story. let's compare with our life.
we have money, but we think money is root of evil, but we are keep on searching money! what a funny.. actually, it's no problem with the money. our mind itself does. idle mind is the root of all evil. if we have a good mind, have or haven't, we can control it. our Holy Quran explains everything, but if we just read it without knowing it, what the case! we keep on talking that Quran says this and that, but we don't do anything to bring it into reality.
we say we hate something but we keep on doing the thing we hate.
we don't grateful on what we have. we seek for something that is floating in the air of nowhere. we condemn others but we do the same things as well.
when i reminisce my time of being a student. when i was in first year, i did not vote for MPP because i tought i wasn't important to me. but till i nominated as a candidate, i awore that, voting percentage is very important, not only to win but also to see students' support. unfortunately... they were like me before, MPP wasn't important. hahaha! nobody supports us!
if we don't ever go to lake, don't talk about lake. if we don't ever plant the paddy, don't story about how to tanam padi to a paddy farmer. if we don't ever be an MPP, don't teach an MPP about MPP. for all the things above, we may suggest, or ask, but not to be kurang ajar... :)
we are not kids but not yet adults. use our precious brain to think big, not to condemn people. don't forget a malay tale of pak pandir lost his son because of his ignorant. and remember the history of malacca's downfall in 1511.
we usually look at other peeps and shake our head rather than look at ourselves and fix it. ops, what can we fix? we're such that perfect rite? a wicked perfect!
it's a human nature... everybody will feel that he is better than other unless he gets infiority complex!
