bubur asyura
yesterday all of us went to my aunt's house to 'kacau bubur asyura'. it was very fun for almost all our family members spent time together.
we started at 9 am and ended only before maghrib. it was soooo tiring and that was my second time kacau bubur asyura. but i must be very lucky cos makcik-makcik, when looked at me would say "eh, panas tu dah merah muke tu, meh duduk sini" ahaks.
as every muharam is, bubur asyura is malaysian Muslims' culture. i don't know at other countries whether they have bubur asyura or not. i guess it is a way to celebrate new year. erk, i'm not sure :P
kelantanese bubur asyura is different than other states. my KLian fren brought bubur asyura from her place almost 2 years ago, and for me it was 'bubur nasik bersantan'. and my perakian fren's bubur asyura was dull grey and no taste of rempah. kelantanese is black, viscous, carved meat enriched, full of rempah, and hurm..... guess what? must be very SWEET!
but i don't like kelantanese bubur asyura. so rempah!
