tsunami

back to 26 dec 2004...

i was in a bus trip from KB to KL. i was a boring-long-journey, moreover i sat beside a guy. no comfortable sleep. actually i was very sleepy. then a good fate happened, i saw my ex-schoolmate int he same bus. lucky i had someone to have lunch with.

as i reached gombak, my mate was there and she told me "tau tak aceh kene gempa arinih?" waduh, nggak tahu. "kamu tak rasa gegaran ke? kat penang ade orang mati tau. kat shah alam pun ada rasa". iyeke? mmgla rasa gegaran, bas tu gegar2. huhu.

i swear, i didn't have any idea that the earthquake was that bad. seemed like the whole indian ocean is affected. i thought somalia located at another side of the earth, rite? i remember that nite, for the first half hour, all channel memberitakan sal that earthquake & tsunami. and until now the sorotan is still non-stop.

how do we react? actually the attack happened at a rite time, at the edge of the biggest event ever, new year. fortunately, pak lah is such that smart person by giving the command to everybody (suggestion maybe) to cancell any party for new year. alhamdulillah (even if there are still segelintir yang tak reti bahasa). long live pak lah!

the tragedy shown that malaysian is very helpful and kind. and also shown how indulgent malays is (from different perspective). and a lot of things to ponder for those who know how to use their brain wisely. why the masjid is not affected at all? because of its senibina? or its strong foundation? or because it does not has walls, just pillars?

why does it happened in acheh? why not in US or UK or russia or israel? why the disaster is always attack the Muslim's territory? why harm is always touch the Muslim?

how could it affect our country? we are not in the region of volcano and earthquake. so why us?

urgh...
